This project in Essex was supplied with our model R100 in a black stained oak. The flat panels and recessed RS5 beading gave a contemporary edge to a typically traditional panelled door. The frame and TR2 flat architrave were also supplied in a black stained oak to match which enhanced the model feel of these door sets. Another benefit of having matching frames and architraves gives the illusion the doors are taller.
SWD’s bespoke handles were used throughout, with matching turn and releases for the bathrooms and escutcheons for locks. The design chosen was the knurled Northfield in a satin brass finish. Ironmongery from our bespoke range are made with solid brass, and one handle weighs an impressive 250g approx.
The hinges and strike plates were plated in a satin brass finish to match the door furniture, which also tied in nicely with other satin brass fixtures throughout the home such as the knurled light switches.
